Privacy

GlazeTag keeps your test tile records and photographs on your iPhone. The app does not send them to Coded Realities, and it contains no analytics and no tracking.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter in a record: tile code, title, clay body, cone, atmosphere, date, the glaze and application layers, your result notes, whether the tile is a favorite, and the photographs you add. All of it is written to storage belonging to the app on your device.

There is no account, no sign in and no cloud sync. The app works without a network connection.

Deleting a record removes it. Deleting the app removes what the app stored on the device. Copies you made yourself are separate, and are covered below.

Photographs

You add photographs by taking one with the camera or choosing one with the system photo picker, which hands the app only the images you select. GlazeTag does not request access to your whole photo library and does not write to it. Camera access is requested only when you choose to take a photograph.

Images are processed on the device. They are resized and re-encoded for storage, and location metadata is not carried into the copy the app keeps.

What leaves your device

GlazeTag has no server sync. You can share or export copies using these actions, and iOS device backups may also include app data as described below.

  • A PDF of one tile, when you share or print it.
  • A backup file, when you export your library.
  • An email, if you write to support.

Once a file is exported or shared it is yours to look after. Anyone you send it to, and any storage service you choose to keep it in, has its own privacy practices. A backup of your iPhone, whether to a computer or to iCloud, may also include the app's data, and is handled under the terms of whatever service you use for it.

Purchase and support email

GlazeTag is bought once through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction, and we do not see your payment details. The app contains no purchase or subscription code of its own.

If you write to support@codedrealities.com we receive your address and your message, and use them to reply to you. They are not added to a mailing list and not sold. Mail providers on both sides process email in the normal course of delivering it.

This website

These pages are static files with no forms, no database and no server side code. They set no cookies and use no browser storage.

No third party analytics, tag manager, advertising pixel, web font or embed is used. Each page loads only its own stylesheet and icon from this same domain.

Cloudflare is the hosting provider. As the host it processes ordinary request information, including your IP address, in order to serve the pages and protect the service, under its own terms. We have not added any analytics product on top of that and do not build profiles from it.

Scope and changes

GlazeTag records your own observations. It does not predict fired results or assess glaze safety.

The app is not aimed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date at the top, and anything that changes how your data is handled will be described rather than quietly folded in.
